Communion

Today at Church our Pastor talked about Communion. Many times I forget the significance of communion. I've been a Christian since I was really little, so that's quite easy for me to do. So when my Pastor started talking about it, I wasn't super excited, I've heard many talks on communion and the like. But surprisingly, I did learn a lot. There were a few main points I wanted to share with you.
There were four steps to communion that our Pastor talked about.

#1: Look Back-this is when we think about all that Christ did for us on the cross and in our lives.
#2: Look In -Examine ourselves, asking God to forgive us, and forgiving ourselves.
#3: Look Around-Reconcile ourselves. (Matthew 5:23-24)
#4: Look Forward-We have hope for an upcoming celebration in eternity.

There's a lot more to do with communion, and here are some scripture passages to help you:
1 Corinthians 11:23-32
Isaiah 53 (Prophecy about Christ's Death)
Genesis 3:17-18 (This is about Christ wearing the crown of thorns. It relates to this passage because this is where God curses Adam for sinning. When Christ wore the crown of thorns, it was as if He was taking on their sins, which He did)
